If you are using notepad for your coding (or something similar) make sure you don't accidently save your file using ANSI encoding or something like that. Keep it at UTF-8! ANSI encoding will display everything perfectly (no weird characters) but will be processed incorrectly by the compiler. So you'll have perfect looking code which is not working for some unexplained reason...
