note 68657 deleted from function.getimagesize by betz

Note Submitter: sv1cec at hol dot gr ---- I have issues trying to use getimagesize. The problem is that the images I am checking are not mine, so if someone deletes an image, I get a warning. I tried to use fopen first, to check if the file exist, but then I get fopen warnings. Is there a way to check if a file exists first, before passing the URL to getimagesize? Sorry if this is rudimentary, but I am new in this thing.
