hey david, I do the same when I want to made a "true" XHTML document. <?php header('Content-Type: application/xhtml+xml; charset=ISO-8859-1'); ?> Since the server automatically adds text/html to web documents. I only use it though when I want to demonstrate why IE doesn't fully support XHTML, even IE7 doesn't. Most of my pages I keep at text/html for the IE users to enjoy :D ---- Server IP: 64.71.164.2 Probable Submitter: 69.117.26.164 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.header.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/71739 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/71739/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/71739/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/71739/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/71739/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/71739/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/71739/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/71739 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/71739 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
