To use the http_redirect function (with PHP 5.1.1) I ended up:
1. executing "pear install http" as documented under "installing PECL
extensions"
2. Restarting apache
3. adding: require_once('HTTP.php') to my file
4. calling the function by it's static object name:
HTTP::redirect
(There's likely a better way, but this is the first thing I found that works.)
