Interesting to note that I have been using ctype_alnum to validate passwords for some time now. I uploaded some code to a client's web server and, what do you know, I get the following error: Fatal error: Call to undefined function: ctype_alnum() in /www/business/client/_beta/client_area.php on line 28 The server is using PHP v4.4.2, and this page shows that ctype_alnum() has been in since PHP 4.0.4 and up. Had a search on the Web about it, and it seems that for some distributions/installs of PHP, the ctype library isn't installed by default. Hope this helps somebody! ---- Server IP: 87.124.64.96 Probable Submitter: 82.110.254.210 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.ctype-alnum.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/76799 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/76799/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/76799/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/76799/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/76799/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/76799/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/76799/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/76799 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/76799 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
