Interesting to note that I have been using ctype_alnum to validate passwords for some time now. I
uploaded some code to a client's web server and, what do you know, I get the following error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: ctype_alnum() in /www/business/client/_beta/client_area.php
on line 28
The server is using PHP v4.4.2, and this page shows that ctype_alnum() has been in since PHP 4.0.4
and up. Had a search on the Web about it, and it seems that for some distributions/installs of PHP,
the ctype library isn't installed by default.
Hope this helps somebody!
