Mac installation - Utterly lost Several resources, including <www.php.net>, indicate that all that’s required to enable the ‘bundled’ php in OS X is editing the /etc/httpd/httpd.conf file. The instructions say to un-comment the indicated lines and restart the server. I did so and got no results whatsoever. The simple test files I’ve run in my browser don’t give any indication php is there at all. I’m running OS X 10.3.9 on a vintage Quicksilver PowerMac tower. Running ‘php -v’ in Terminal results in PHP 4.4.7 (cli) (built: Jul 10 2007 09:10:47) Copyright (c) 1997-2007 The PHP Group Zend Engine v1.3.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2004 Zend Technologies but that is, of course, just the CLI. Having followed the directions, I haven’t a clue what to do now. ---- Server IP: 64.71.164.2 Probable Submitter: 24.113.229.46 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/install.macosx.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/80805 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/80805/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/80805/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/80805/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/80805/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/80805/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/80805/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/80805 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/80805 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
