Mac installation - Utterly lost
Several resources, including <www.php.net>, indicate that all thatâs required to enable
the âbundledâ php in OS X is editing the /etc/httpd/httpd.conf file. The instructions say
to un-comment the indicated lines and restart the server. I did so and got no results whatsoever.
The simple test files Iâve run in my browser donât give any indication php is there at
all.
Iâm running OS X 10.3.9 on a vintage Quicksilver PowerMac tower. Running âphp -vâ in
Terminal results in
PHP 4.4.7 (cli) (built: Jul 10 2007 09:10:47)
Copyright (c) 1997-2007 The PHP Group
Zend Engine v1.3.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2004 Zend Technologies
but that is, of course, just the CLI.
Having followed the directions, I havenât a clue what to do now.
