When saving the output of an HTML table as an excel sheet, avoid using double quoted string literals
after the attribute 'width', because the excel sheet won't display the table.
Example:
<?php
header("Content-Type: application/vnd.ms-excel");
echo "<table border=1 align=center width=95\"%\">";
echo "<table>";
echo "<tr><td>abc</td><tr>";
echo "<tr><td>xyz</td><tr>";
echo "</table>";
?>
Use "<table border=1 align=center width=95%>" instead.
