My System
- Windows Server 2003 R2
- MS SQL Server 2005
- PHP 5.2.4
- IIS 6
- \System32\ntwdblib.dll 2000.80.194.0 (Windows original)
- \php\ntwdblib.dll 2000.2.80 (php package original)
- On local host
- 'Windows Authentication' for SQL Server
I just changed the default settings as following:
- enabled mssql.secure_connect() [Default was Off]
- enabled pipe name protocol [Default was disable]
- enabled TCP/IP IP1 [Default was disable]
- added my Windows' loging name into database users
- restarted SQL services and the Web server
- and removed the username/password from php script:
mssql_connect('MyDomain', '', '')
- Important: I did NOT downgrade my 'Windows Authentication' to 'Mixed mode"

result with even less changes.
