"Interestingly" isset() returns false for null - even though a variable containing null has actually been set to a null value. I think I'm right in saying that this actually makes it impossible to distinguish if a variable exists and is null (can safely be used) or is undefined (causes a notice if used with anything other than isset). This is probably something you will never need to know - but I think it is illogical and causes confusion about nulls ---- Server IP: 87.124.64.96 Probable Submitter: 80.169.49.130 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.isset.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/84214 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/84214/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/84214/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/84214/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/84214/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/84214/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/84214/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/84214 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/84214 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
