In some cases, yes, but the way I've been approaching it is to
snip out the self-serving promotion, while retaining the
community-beneficial code snippets. Don't allow the poster to gain
anything from the SPAM, but allow the community to gain knowledge from
the code. It's making a good situation out of an attempt to exploit
the good of the project.
