<script> tag hasn't been deprecated in HTML as it is in XHTML 1.0/1.1, XHTML Modular and
XHTML 2.0 specs.
What has been deprecated is the use of the language=CDATA and in our case with PHP the
language="php" is the deprecated attribute.
It's been replaced with mime type equivalents of type = content-type [CI]
The reality is that php doesn't have a solution for this type=content-type [CI] built-into PHP
currently.
The xml format makes the most sense with regards to moving forward in an xml based world.
