Alessandro Segala, I've tried your recommendation for changing serializer functions to json in my caching class. I ran some benchmark and I experienced that json is slightly slower (~10%) in my case. I've serialized lots of classes, large arrays, strings, serialized variables in my scripts, and put them into gzcompressed files. Without compression, filesizes would have been up to 500kB. So if you want to serialize more complex things than single arrays you should use the serialize function instead of json. ---- Server IP: 92.43.200.200 Probable Submitter: 81.182.239.179 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.serialize.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/92822 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/92822/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/92822/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/92822/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/92822/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/92822/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/92822/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/92822 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/92822 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
