Shouldn't this function have returned the sunrise in local time automatically? That is, if i check sunrise for Beijing, I should get the sunrise time in Beijing time automatically. Today I have to manually specify that I want Beijing time, otherwise I get it in GMT, which seems like a useless default. If I want local sunrise times for any latitude/longitude in the world, it seems I must use Geonames or a similar database to find the timezone for the given pair of latitude/longitude coordinates before I can use date_sunrise(). Anyone, please let me know if there is any easy way to get the local time automatically. ---- Server IP: 208.69.120.35 Probable Submitter: 84.215.146.201 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.date-sunrise.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/93523 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/93523/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/93523/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/93523/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/93523/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/93523/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/93523/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/93523 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/93523 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
