In response to dido message: Why do you need to go through all this trouble if you still using iconv() inside your function? If you have iconv() on your server, then iconv_mime_decode() is the best solution for decoding mime headers. Just remember to set internal encoding before using this function, like this: iconv_set_encoding("internal_encoding", "UTF-8"); This is if you want to convert the string to UTF-8, otherwise it will be converted to your currently set internal encoding, which is usually the ISO-8859-1 ---- Server IP: 64.71.164.2 Probable Submitter: 75.97.204.207 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.iconv-mime-decode.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/95216 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/95216/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/95216/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/95216/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/95216/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/95216/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/95216/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/95216 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/95216 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
