Note Submitter: Anonymous ---- I had the same problem as: terry_513 at yahoo dot com 08-Oct-2010 03:53 http://www.php.net/manual/en/install.windows.apache2.php#100331 using: win7/httpd-2.2.17-win32-x86-no_ssl.msi/ php-5.3.5-Win32-VC6-x86.msi I changed the setting in http.conf for PHPIniDir and php5_module as all suggests, and then apache wouldnt start. I dont know if it is reported anywhere else, or if is actually the problem, but after changing the above paths in the php.ini file, apache started! upload_tmp_dir="C:\dev\temp" session.save_path="C:\dev\temp" error_log="C:\dev\logs\php\php-errors.log" extension_dir="C:\dev\php\ext" (all was using C:\Windows\...)
