My Event for win 2008 64bit: 1. Install XAMPP 1.7.4 from http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp-windows.html 2. Install Win32 OpenSSL v1.0.0d or Win64 OpenSSL v1.0.0d from http://www.slproweb.com/products/Win32OpenSSL.html (different folder: C:\OpenSSL-Win32 or C:\OpenSSL-Win64) 3. Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package from http://www.microsoft.com 4. Start Xampp 5.
