I hate PHP for its stupid way of working with global variables. C scope for global variables is much better. I have lots of config variables and I do not want to make them constants because constants do not work with variable interpolation into strings. Just because of stupid design of first versions of PHP which allowed user input from GET, POST, COOKIE, etc. to be global variables they decided about this stupid global scope. The best solution is to disable register globals but enable C-like variable scope. Please include config option to use C-like variable scope. ---- Server IP: 69.147.83.197 Probable Submitter: 85.95.173.127 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/language.variables.scope.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/107633 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/107633/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/107633/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/107633/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/107633/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/107633/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/107633/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/107633 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/107633 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
