I recommend to always specify the path and domain, for example "/" and "example.com", otherwise the domain is the entire domain of your website (including subdomains) and the path is the path of the current URL. If you create a cookie at www.example.com , and delete it at www.example.com/logout/ , and you don't specify a path, then the cookie will not be deleted. So it's a good idea to always specify the path and domain.
