note 16127 rejected from function.header by zak

I have a design using php/mysql. In mysql database i stored multimedia files such as avi, mp3, as blob types. How can I stream such files using headers maybe, through an internet browser. I have available the binarydata, filename, filesize and filetype. Till now with: header("Content-type: $filetype"); the appropriate program is being lauched in the internet brower (IE) without playing anything as the php file is being inserted in the appropriate program. What should I do?
