note 115560 added to install.unix.apache2

From what we've seen when compiling apache 2.4.10 on CentOS 6.5 x64, it doesn't default to prefork mpm as suggested by the article. So rather than wasting a lot of time waiting to see whether it does or doesn't in your case, simply specify prefork by appending the --with-mpm=prefork option to your ./configure command.
