On the 'what is PHP?' page it is stated that php is a "widely-used open source
general-purpose scripting language"
The problem here is, the term 'open source' refers to a software application and not to
any programming language.
according to online reference:
An open-source license is a license for computer software and other products that allows the source
code, blueprint or design to be used, modified and/or shared under defined terms and conditions.
