note 16764 added to function.mysql-pconnect

I ran txtilde@hotmail.com's benchmark and got similar results, but when I made the slight modification: $db = mysql_pconnect($server,$user,$pass); mysql_select_db($dbname,$db); and $db = mysql_connect($server,$user,$pass); mysql_select_db($dbname,$db); the results inverted. mysql_connect is now faster (the length of time for both increase, but it seems to take mysql_pconnect a lot longer to select a db)... someone please inform me if this is relevant. -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.mysql-pconnect.php http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=edit+16764 http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+16764 http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=reject+16764
