On Debian GNU/Linux 2.2 (potato) the php4-Package (4.0.3pl1) returns NEGATIVE numbers instead of
positive ones.
For example the following prints -1 not 1 as expected:
$query="UPDATE pop3 SET passwd='$passwd' WHERE account='$login' AND
host='$hostname'"; // host & account are primary keys
$result=mysql_db_query("pop3",$query,$link);
print mysql_affected_rows($link);
