Win32-Users: Be sure to upgrade to PHP 4.0.4pl1 before getting desperate about hard to track down problems. <br>I found that session_destroy() would never work correctly in versions before 4.0.4, while session_register() would work most of the time, but not always, which makes it even harder to come to the conclusion that it's a PHP problem, not your own. Once I had upgraded to 4.0.4, all problems were gone. <br>Hope this helps to prevent one or the other from spending several days tracking down non-existent bugs in your script (as was the case with me).
