Note on getting mcrypt-2.2.5 working:
It compiles fine with PHP but when you
try to link the result with Apache_1.3.9
it fails with unresolved references.
You need to add the -lmcrypt to the
LIBS1=... src/Makefile to link from the
mcrypt library.
