For those still getting the following when compiling PHP:
gd.c: In function `php_if_imagecreatefromgif':
gd.c:709: `gdImageCreateFromGif' undeclared (first use in this function)
gd.c:709: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
gd.c:709: for each function it appears in.)
gd.c:709: `gdImageCreateFromGifCtx' undeclared (first use in this
function)
gd.c: In function `php_if_imagegif':
gd.c:891: `gdImageGif' undeclared (first use in this function)
---------FIX--------
Open /usr/local/include/gd.h , and add the two lines on line ~102
gdImagePtr gdImageCreateFromGif(FILE *infile);
gdImagePtr gdImageCreateFromGifCtx(gdIOCtx *infile);
-------------------------
This will cause the gif functions to not fail on compile. I found that some application I installed
must have added gif support, causing the PHP configure utility to find the gif functionality and
turn it on for gd. Shouldn't PHP take out the Gif check as GD no longer supports gifs? It took
me a long time to figure out a good fix!!
