For anyone looking for a way to handle multiple-file uploads from a multi-select box on a page (as
opposed to having multiple '<input type=file' boxes), I've got an Active X
component that I've written (unfortunately requires IE5...can't win them all!) together
with a PHP script to do just that.
It also allows you to set the allowed number of files, together with some rudimentary file-type
checking.
The component itself is really simple to use (server side PHP script will run on UNIXs and
Micro$oft) requiring little more than a <object> reference tag in the page telling the browser
where to download it from, together with a couple of parameter tags to pass required variables (file
upload script location etc).
Drop me a line if you are interested.
