Okay, I'm confused.
In my book (PHP Programming) it says I can reference variables passed to the function like this:
<pre>function func($this->variable)</pre>
But this doesn't appear to work.
If I want to alter and return $variable, is the only way I can do it like this:
<pre>function func($variable)
{
$this-variable = $variable;
}</pre>
