In some of the above notes, I found the suggested modifications to .htaccess to be erroneous (even
in an Editor's Note).
I believe that in those references suggesting to add:
'php_value include_dir ".:/path1:/path/two"'
to the .htaccess file, that the correct syntax is:
'php_value include_path ".:/path1:/path/two"'.
The important part is the 'include_path' as opposed to 'include_dir'.
That was the case for the following environment:
In Apache/1.3.23 (Unix) on Redhat Linux 7.2 with PHP/4.1.2 .
