note 23818 added to function.imagejpeg

I have a problem with ImageJPEG. I want to keep images in a mysql database. I load a image as a blob and i want to display it in the browser. I have read that using this it will work: <? $im = ImageCreateFromString($row["photo"]); ImageJPEG($im); ?> ($row["photo"] is the blob field as result of a query in my database). But It doesn't work. The page display characters after few minutes. Why? Can somebody help me?
