There's a special problem in WinXP system at installing
php extension. I had this problem with php_xmlrpc.dll
first, but it happened to me also with other extensions.
Problem: You get a message like "Unable to load dynamic
library xyz.dll ...", but all configurations are done
well. "extension_dir" is set well and the extension is
loaded by "extension=xyz.dll".
This error message is misleading. The problem is, that
the extension needs another dll-file which is is usually
located in .../php/dlls. Because this dll's are not
found, the module isn't loaded. Two solutions are
possible:
1) Bring this path (.../php/dlls) into windows
envorinment variable PATH! Changes can be made under
[System Control][System][Extend][Environmentvariables].
2) Copy the dll-files from path (.../php/dlls) to
(.../windows/system32). This path is already in PATH
variable.
