Having read through all the notes above this is a new one!!
I am sending mails with URLs in them and these URLs include query strings. When the mail arrives at
the client, the URL has been altered with & being replaced by &. I have checked the URL
being passed to the mail function and it definitely does not have & conversions in it.
I am using the following headers and have tried both text/plain and text/html but at the client the
message source code always includes &. Why is the mail function performing a special chars
conversion and how do I get around it?
> $headers .= "Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit\n";
> $headers .= "Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1\n";
> $headers .= "To: ".$email_address."
> <".$email_address.">\n";
> $headers .= $from_header."\n";
> $headers .= "Reply-To: ".$this->m_vars->email_address_errors."\n";
Cheers,
Ben
