With varible declaration on 4+ I noticed that declaring
$filename = "motd.txt";
is very effective where
$filename = "/motd.txt";
caused PHP.EXE to crash every time. This could just be me. But when declaring files in the root
server,
don't use a forwarding forward slash.
It'll save you the heartache.
