it may be helpful for those unfamiliar with sessions to point out that when using
if(issset($_SESSION['xxx']))
the session array takes an index using single quotes, not double quotes. whereas using
session_register("xxx")
takes a string enclosed by double quotes. i have been stressing out over this for awhile now, so i
hope it helps someone out.
