I found that IE 5.50.4422.1800 on windows doesn't like the expiration field to be anything less
than:
time()+7200
It's reaction is to ignore the cookie. So, to delete a cookie, I now always use:
setcookie("name");
Likewise, I can't set a cookie to have an lifetime of less than 2 hours, or it just won't
get set.
