I don't know about anyone else running Slackware 8.1, but I had to edit:
sapi/apache2filter/php_functions.c line 93 from:
#if !MODULE_MAGIC_AT_LEAST(20020506,0)
to
#if !AP_MODULE_MAGIC_AT_LEAST(20020506,0)
and also sapi/apache2filter/sapi_apache2.c lines 534 and 535 from:
ap_register_output_filter("PHP", php_output_filter, AP_FTYPE_RESOURCE)
;
to
ap_register_output_filter("PHP", php_output_filter,0, AP_FTYPE_RESOURCE)
;
This needed done for both the input and output filter.
