The $_GET and $_POST superglobals only work in PHP versions 4.1.0 and higher. If you have a lower
version, only $HTTP_GET_VARS and $HTTP_POST_VARS will work. These variables also work in > 4.1.0,
and do the same exact thing, it's only deprecated.
