I tried using the name and e-mail address for the $to, as shown in example 4, but it did not work.
So, I had to double quote the name and escape those doubles quotes, i.e.: $to =
"\"Fullname\"<theuser@thehost.com>";
This also worked for the $from variable, which is then part of the $header variable, i.e.:
$from = "\"The From name\" <thefromuser@thefromhost.com>";
$header = "From: $from\n";
