A little example to demonstrate what happens (php 4.2.1):
$iToday = unixtojd();
var_export( cal_from_jd( $iToday, CAL_GREGORIAN ) );
will return something like:
array (
'date' => '11/27/2002',
'month' => 11,
'day' => 27,
'year' => 2002,
'dow' => 3,
'abbrevdayname' => 'Wed',
