apache 2.0.43 php 4.2.3 MySQL 3.23.51 bash-2.05a# cat /etc/ld.so.conf /usr/local/lib /usr/X11R6/lib /usr/i386-slackware-linux/lib /opt/kde/lib /usr/lib/qt/lib /usr/lib/mysql bash-2.05a#ldconfig --- I was trying to install php with external MySQL support, not with the built-in, but the configure script couldn't find the library files for mysql: ./configure --with-apxs2 --with-regex --with-mysql=/usr/lib/mysql checking return type of qsort... (cached) void configure: error: Cannot find header files under /usr/lib/mysql --with-mysql=/usr/include/mysql/ and /usr/local/lib/mysql/ got the same problems.
