why bother validating email addresses?
Simply set the "from" line of the email to:
noreply@<your domain>.com
and setup a mail filter to auto-delete any email that comes to that address.
Bouncing emails will then be deleted automaticly. If the address MUST be validated, place a
"validation link" in the email, if the user clicks the link, the address was valid!
