note 37819 added to function.preg-replace

It would be nice if you could disable the usage of backreferences, e.g. if you have a dynamically generated replacement string. I have not really figured out yet how to avoid the backreferences then (not sure how many \\\\\ I need to do something like preg_quote, but for the replacement and not the pattern).
