It would be nice if you could disable the usage of backreferences, e.g. if you have a dynamically
generated replacement string.
I have not really figured out yet how to avoid the backreferences then (not sure how many \\\\\ I
need to do something like preg_quote, but for the replacement and not the pattern). It will be fun
to create a regex for this changing those special chars \ and $ 8-)
