In reaction to "grey at greywyvern dot com"'s socketmail(). If you send a larger batch before clossing the connection it might happen that the last few messages weren't send. Add a usleep(microseconds) AFTER the QUIT command and BEFORE the fclose() command. This gives the server some time to send all the messages.
