For some reason using <? @readfile() ?> to do a force-download of an us-ascii text file
prepends a single newline <? "\n" ?> to the stream. I haven't figured out if
it is a bug or what to use alternately but if you have content that has critical formatting on the
first line, know that using this method will give you an extra line at the top of the file.
