PHP5 has no longer mysql support included. So after upgrading to PHP5 (on Windows XP) I got an error message saying "Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysql_connect() in C:\apache\htdocs\phpmyadmin\lib.inc.php on line 255" To make mysql work, you have to add the following lines to your php.ini file (or uncomment them if they are already there): extension=php_mysql.dll extension=php_mysqli.dll Then, copy these dll's and the following two ones into windows system32 directory: libmysql.dll libmysqli.dll restart apache... and it should work. I found this hint here, where also the unix version is described: http://forums.invisionpower.com/lofiversion/index.php/t123443.html ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.mysql-connect.php Edit -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=edit+44779 Delete -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+44779&report=yes Reject -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=reject+44779&report=yes Search -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
