Thank you all for your contributions. I used class "CSV" by miked at droplab dot com, but
the following line:
John,Smith,"123 Main Street, Apt 1",Los Angeles
(with a comma in quotes) caused it to create an extra array entry, even when I passed in a
double-quote as the '$enclosed_by' variable. The php function fgetcsv is not used in this
class (and perhaps should be?).
The class "CSVparse" by jc at goetc dot net handled this line without a problem (using the
php function fgetcsv.)
