It says above, "Note: As of PHP 4.3.0, the option --enable-mbstring will be enabled by
default"
This doesn't appear to be true in 4.3.2RC1 and possibly earlier. I just ran configure with
--with-mbstring instead of --enable-mbstring and multibyte isn't configured. Ie:
"checking whether to enable multibyte string support... no"
So make sure to use --enable-mbstring regardless of what the docs say.
